Season 4 is out !!

So season 4 has come out. Time to go through and grind it up to 2200. I'm defiantly interested to see if any new combos break into the scene this season. I will keep you guys posted any new and difficult combinations.

Don't be discouraged guys if you aren't doing so great your first week. Keep in mind all the top teams are stuck in lower brackets battling it out. Most the little guys are just free points and are getting caught in the cross fire. If you maintain your 1550-1650 you've done pretty well your first week for a team that has never hit 2000 in season 3. Just keep on chugging, I will be posting some strats as Season 4 continues. Good luck and crush some gnomes.

Warrior / Druid VS Warlok Druid 2V2

Ok guys this is pretty clear and simple.

I could sit here and give you the hard and perfect strat, but I would rather give you the wtf Pwn you strat.

Warrior:

Start the match off rushing the warlok. If the lok has a fel hound KILL the fell hound twice DO not let him re summon through a normal channel.
If the pet is dead or the lok is useing a felgaurd / void walker begin sundering him down. Just make sure you have 5 sunders stacks the whole game ( Don't let them ware off)
Make sure to keep hamstrings up at all times on the lok as well as Mortal Strike
If the loks druid starts Cycloneing and rooting you allot start intercepting him and hitting him with a ms every time hes in caster and trying to cc you. Eventually he will go bear and try to kite you or LOS you. ( make sure the lok has hamstring on him during this phase.
Eventually the druid will run away to heal / drink or your druid will CC him long enough for you to decimate the 0 armored warlok. ( Save your Death wish for this so you have a 30 second fear immunity, make sure to be blowing berserker rage every time it's up. (PUMMEL FEARS)

Druid

The druids task here is simple, let the warrior charge in off the bat.
The lok will be pinned down almost the entire game by the warrior.
Stand as far away from the lok as you can to be in healing range of your warrior to avoid fear cast and insta dots. (warrior should be pummeling fears)
When your not healing your warrior and throwing Cyclones on the druid you should be Rooting the lok.
Rooting the lok will not only keep you protected but it will also optimize your warriors damage as well as keep the lok's druid in the warriors intercept range.
If your warrior needs to intercept the druid immediately cyclone the lok to prevent any heals over time, The warrior should be able to get back on the lok and finish him off while the druid is kiting.
At this point you can either chase the other druid and have a cc war ( make sure your warrior is healed full) or you can jump in with your warrior and dps quick to finish off the lok.

My first rant on life

As you will all know according to my post schedule , today is RANT day. How conveinent that it is a horrible day out and everything seems to be going wrong today. Oh how I love and hate thursdays.

This thursdays rant topics are Reinstalling Wow, and no sleep = late to work.

Well I started early evening yesterday reinstalling WOW as I had finished my reformat. Holy crap I forgot how many freaking patches we have to download it was just mind numbing. On top of that I spent a good 3 hours locating my installation disc ( ya ya I know you can download it off the wow site). Anyways I kept looking. I actually have 2 wow retail versions and one burning crusade retail version. The most ironic thing about it all was I was only missing disc 4 FROM EVERY SET. Must have been gods cruel joke, so after looking for a eternity for just any disc 4 I had to resort to the site download. Well wouldn't you know it at 99% and the downloaded disconnects and says there was a corruption. WONDERFUL, so now I am contemplating taking shots of Jameson or just breaking the shot glasses and chewing on them. I ended up taking shots and forgetting computers even existed for the night. Well I was feeling pretty good and it was already 1:00 am now. I picked up my Grandma's Boy DVD and opended it..........Guess what was inside? Disc 4 burning Crusade, Disc 4 classic WOW. I just stared at them and stared and stared. Looked at the clock that read 1:00 am your going to regret this. So I sat down turned on some music and began installing. Well to make a long story a little shorter. I finished the 750 of Jameson and didnt' make it to work until 12:00 when I was scheduled for 9:00am.

The important thing is WOW got installed and I can kill gnomes once again.

Thought I would just post to remind all you arena junkies out there. Season 4 looks promising and ever so challenging.

I my self will be running a 3v3 for season 4. We are planning to do shaman / pally / warrior. We hit 2k season 3 with holy pally / resto shaman / ms war. We are going to go for Resto / Ret / war this time. We will keep you all posted on our trial runs wish us luck.

2v2 Experiment Warrior / Mage

Fire Mage/Warrior 2v2

This unique 2's team carries quite a punch. It's a Kamikaze attack. Warrior charges in on the most favored target and blows everything possible. The mage handles the healer and when the focus target is low enough things will EXPLODE!!!

Fire Mage Breakdown

Fire Mage will begin by trailing the warrior or starting out stealth or with invisibility.
Once your warrior has picked out a good target begin cc on the warriors opposite target.
Start applying scorches and dpsing the warriors target.
Once the target falls to 40% life Silence any healers or casting dps that the warrior is not on.
follow up with a instant pyroblast and the results should leave your opposing team saying @#$%@ he was fire or just flat out shocked. Your a healers nightmare.

Warrior Breakdown

Your job is quite simple. Rush in and Pick a good target. Squishy warrior target preferably.
Blow Death wish , keep MS up , and hamstring.
Cast Intimidating shout on escaping targets who are out of range or the secondary target.
once your target hits 40-30% life call out for that instant pyro and laugh as the red ball of flame consumes your target.

This team is 100% execution. If you do not time your mage's silences / cc / instant pyro and your warrior is not pushing his optimal damage ( blowing death wish , blood rage, berserker rage) you will fail miserably. It is a nice change for a warrior and mage in 2's and is allot of fun.

Fun Level = 5 out 5 for this combo
Difficulty = 4 out of 5

3v3

Warrior/Rogue/Palladin

May the Force of Melee Be with you.

Warriors job here is to throw up sunders and keep MS up at all times on the focus target
Mitigate your rage, stack up 100 rage with sunders on the focus target and have your rogue blind a healer and focus with you. This should result in overwhelming dps even if the healer breaks free.
Occasional may need to peel off the rogue.
Keep hamstrings up to help strengthen your melee dps.
Rogue will need to be the dynamic class in this team
Your blinds and saps will allow for you and your warrior get into melee range early and cc a healer or heavy caster dps
Poisons should be crippling and mind numbing as clothies will be where majority of your first kills and victories will come from. Hunters can make good targets as well (Kill the Hunters Pet First). Druids are also a good target if caught in caster form
paladin will struggle with CC and primarily heal.
A good paladin will keep blessing of freedom on his cc'ed comrades.
Your dispels will most likely be the best asset you will be supplying to this team as CC will cripple your melee comrades.
A pally is usually chose over a shaman or a priest due to their high survivability and Dispels.
Make sure to hammer of justice the healer after the initial blind from your rogue. (Dont be afraid to throw a hammer of wrath of holy shock if a target is low) Blessing of protection will shut down your teams dps.
Team Anaylsis Strong.
This is a great makeup and you have probably already begun to see alot of heave melee orientated teams.
You will have no trouble with teams containing Warlocks/priest/mages/druids (if your rogue is shadow step)
Your anti make ups will include double healer teams such as Resto Shaman/warrior/holy pally. Do not allow yourself to be kited and make sure your paladin is dispelling whenever possible to keep the warrior and rogue in melee range as much as possible.

Gold Tip of the Day.

So do you have allot of eternium laying around? Well heres a way to actually make some cash off it. Grab some adamantite powder and some primal earths from your mining endeavors. Have a jewel Crafter make you some eternium neclaces. These cost 1 mercurial and 2 eternium bars to make. You can then disenchant them for large prismatic shards and sell them for 25-30g a pop. The mats cost about 12-15 gold depending on server. Not bad for 100% mark up and return.

2v2 World of Warcraft Arena

Warrior + Resto Shaman

Warrior is the main dps, You will primarily need to focus on keeping sunders up and slowing down the opposing teams dps with hamstring / piercing howl. Only apply sunders when your combating a team with a healer
Keep your mortal strike up as it will decide many matches with your shaman's limited mana pool.
Your shaman will need to purge Blessing of Protections and Absorb shields primarily when facing rogue/mage teams. He will also need to purge when facing Warlock/Pally teams.
Shaman will act as a all around support. Depending on the teams you are combating the Shaman will need to be heavy heals, Kiter, Purge / Focus assist.
Totem twisting for grounding totem and wind fury will be a must for this team. As you have no dispels for polymorph, roots, and fears.
A good resto shaman and great communication will be your best assets if you wish to run this team successfully.
You will be strong against the following combos Rogue/priest Warlock/druid Hunter/priest Warlock/paladin Druid/rogue
Your bane's for this make up will be any Heavy Crowd Control teams with significant burst damage. You may also suffer due to your lack of dispels and limited mana pool. Mage/rouges Druid/hunters Shadow priest/warlock

Gold Farming Tip of the Day

If you looking for gold then you should take up Mining and Jewel Crafting.

Adamantite ore is a hot commodity in WOW. Depending on server a stack of adamantite ore can sell for 20-33g. Not to mention you get primal fire / earth / Gems / and Eternium from mining.

Start off by purchasing a couple of recipes that sell well on the AH ( Wicked Inscribed jewl pattern for example), begin breaking those adamantite ores down into gem that can be sold for socketing items. With the right recipes you can turn a stack of adamantite ore worth 25g into a gem worth 50-60g not to mention you could even get as many as 4 gems per break. This is highly irregular but at the very worst you will break out even as if you were selling the adamantite in it's raw form.

If you are receiving gems that you do not have recipes for, have no fear most the gems in their raw form will sell for more then the stack of adamantite will.

Hint best time to post your gem auctions is on Monday or Tuesday as many pvpers will be buying there new gear from arena and need to socket there armor ASAP.

Arena Basics

The basics of any good arena team

Selecting a successful team make up. Your team will need synergy in order to compete.
Communication , let comrades know if your out of line of site for heals or when your CC'ed.
Cool down management, time cool downs with your team members.
Know your classes and learn how to pick the correct kill targets for your team make up.

2v2 Arena

Rogue + Mage

This is a Crowd Control / Cool down heavy team.
Let your rogue sap a player first, if the mage is rushed make sure your rogue gets on a target fast!
Focus your polymorph spells on your secondary target as well as blind.Your focus target should be a target that lacks immunity abilities and should be the most vulnerable to being killed. Shamans / warriors / druids / priest / hunters are good targets.
Your Anti teams will be (Priest+rogue (warrior/ druid) and any heavy survival team.
Both classes are equally important in this combo and execution of your cool down management will determine your victories and losses.

Warrior + Druid

Survival team.
Warriors job will be to protect the druid and to kill the main target.
Warrior will need to peel targets off the druid if he is being focused, using intercept / piercing howl / hamstring / disarm
Warrior should keep sunders / ms / debuff and buff shouts applied on focus target at all times.
Druids job will be to heal kite and crowd control when able.
Keep faerie fire on Focus target as well as roots to allow your warrior to down targets faster. Keep the secondary target crowd controlled with cyclones / roots / and feral charge if specced for it.
Cool down management is not as important in this match, your ability to help you warrior assist in killing your target will be vital to this teams success as well as your warriors ability to keep his own buffs and debuffs on his target. A skilled druid is more important in this combo then the actual warrior in this combo.
